Recreational vehicles have become a new favorite in domestic tourism. More and more people are joining the experience of recreational vehicle travel, enjoying the fun of the journey and the closer intimacy with nature.
The factory configuration of conventional recreational vehicles is generally an energy storage battery of less than 5kwh, and the modified recreational vehicles are generally less than 15kwh. For overnight stays in recreational vehicles and long-distance travel, power is a major pain point. The increase in the demand for electrical energy storage will proportionally increase the volume and weight of the energy storage battery, which has a great impact on the user experience of recreational vehicles. At the same time, the charging time is a problem that large-capacity energy storage batteries cannot overcome at present.
At present, a variety of new energy types of recreational vehicles have emerged abroad. Among them, the application of methanol fuel cells has well solved the problems of large space occupation, heavy weight, low energy density, and slow charging of ordinary energy storage batteries.

Domestic recreational vehicles have also taken the lead in making attempts. At the 18th Shanghai International Recreational Vehicle Exhibition, Faraway brought a series of recreational vehicles to the stage and premiered a methanol energy off-road trailer recreational vehicle T64 at the exhibition.

T64 adopts a methanol reforming hydrogen fuel cell system. It can carry 30L of methanol aqueous solution at a time and can easily obtain a continuous power supply capacity of more than 30kwh. The fuel can be replenished at any time when it runs out, and the power generation process is continuous and uninterrupted. At the same time, the heat and water generated during the power generation process can be recycled for daily use. The system has low operating cost, low noise, is resistant to cold and high altitudes, is lightweight and maintenance-free. Coupled with Faraway T6 off-road “unique secrets”, it is even more powerful and innovative. The methanol reforming hydrogen fuel cell system, as an efficient and clean energy technology, has attracted widespread attention.

The T64 methanol reforming hydrogen fuel cell system mixes methanol and water in a certain proportion into a solution and generates electricity through reforming hydrogen for the power stack. The hydrogen prepared in the reforming process is “produced and used immediately”, using hydrogen without seeing hydrogen. The power generation process is efficient, silent, reliable and environmentally friendly, and is a green energy advocated in the 14th Five-Year Plan of the country. At the same time, China is the world’s largest producer of methanol, the raw materials are easily available, and the operating cost is low.
